The Bolt

Custom built on the foundation of the Chevy Bolt, the first-generation vehicles have logged millions of city miles to make self-driving a reality. They have everything they need to drive directly onboard: 40% of their hardware is unique to self-driving.

The Origin

An entirely new transportation experience designed purely around the rider. No steering wheel. No mirrors. No pedals.

My contributions

As a Hardware Intern at Cruise, I contributed to the development of sensors that make self-driving possible. I worked on developing sensor calibration stations for the Origin, where I implemented improvements, designed, and built new instances. I also conducted data analysis to produce pass/fail criteria for the recorded values and validated the new instances through the Gage R&R process.

After joining Cruise full-time in 2022, I continued to work on advancing the sensor technologies for autonomous vehicles. My role expanded to include additional responsibilities in designing and optimizing sensor systems that support the safety and functionality of self-driving vehicles, focusing on the integration and performance of these systems in real-world environments.
