Topology Optimization
Creating physical objects directly from a software blueprint.
Redefining the Future of Workspace
The goal of this project was to perform optimization-driven design process and apply to addittive manufacturing processes of a desk and a chair. Beginning with a simple CAD model, I assigned some material properties, applied a handful of expected load cases, and defined boundary conditions are inputs for the sequence.
Properties:
Material: NylonYoung's Modulus: 2.7 GPa
Poisson's Ratio: 0.42
I checked my load cases with a symmetric pre-static analysis using Inspire's topology optimization simulation and design analysis toolkits. I also ran another static analysis on the result to verify its integrity.
